Olivier gained his MsC and PhD in Physiology of Reproduction, working on prolactin receptor and osmoregulation in fish with Dr. Patrick Prunet (Rennes, France) and Prof. Paul Kelly (Paris, France). As a post-doctorate, he joined the group led by Professor Ursula Klingmüller at the Max Planck Institute in Immunobiology (Freiburg, Germany) to decipher the biological functions of erythropoietin in mice. In 2001, he was hired at INRA (National Institute of Agronomical Research, Jouy-en-Josas, France) as a researcher then became director of research in 2016. His major area of investigation deals with the dynamical properties of the endometrium and pregnancy issue in ruminants.
