Past Awards

The SRF Distinguished Scientist Lecture replaces the Amoroso Lecture (a plenary lecture given at the Annual Conference), the Hammond Lecture (the prestigious lecture presented at winter Conferences) and the Parkes Lecture (formerly awarded by the Journal of Reproduction and Fertility Ltd.

Amoroso Lecturers

Prior to 2004, the Amoroso Lecture was the prestigious lecture given at the Society’s Annual Conference. This award was established in 1984, by the former Society for the Study of Fertility, as a memorial lecture in honour of Professor EC Amoroso. The Amoroso Lecturers are listed below:

Hammond Lecturers

Walpole Lecturers

To recognise the contribution of the Society’s younger members, the Walpole Lecturer was selected from candidates, usually under the age of 35, who put forward their abstracts submitted for the Annual Conference.
