Dr Kim Jonas is a senior lecturer in reproductive physiology in the Department of Women and Children’s Health at King’s College London. Kim undertook her PhD in ovarian physiology and mechanisms of ovulation at University College London. She completed postdoctoral positions at the Royal Veterinary College and the Institute of Reproductive and Developmental Biology at Imperial College London, uncovering novel physiological and molecular aspects of receptor-mediated control of the hypothalamic-pituitary-ovarian axis. Kim’s research team at KCL is working to understand the mechanisms governing ovarian ageing, infertility and pre-term birth utilising cross-disciplinary approaches. Work in Kim’s lab is funded by the BBSRC, MRC and NIH.
In her spare time Kim can be found trying out new recipes, walking a new remote beach/countryside spot or being coerced into playing/watching football with her son and hubby.
