Introduction

The Society for Reproduction and Fertility (SRF) [formerly the Society for the Study of Fertility (SSF)] is the oldest reproductive
sciences society in the UK and one of the oldest in the world. Its remit is to serve its members and the wider community through
conferences, grants and scholarship programmes, high quality journals and education. This review, written to celebrate its 75th
anniversary, will outline how the Society came into being and how it got to where it is today.
