SRF Early Career Research Symposium at Fertility 2023:

This new event was held in Belfast’s ICC on the 10th January 2023 on the SRF Satellite Day at the annual Fertility Conference. During the event, undergraduate, masters and first-year PhD students were able to practise presenting their research succinctly in an informal and friendly conference environment, and gained valuable feedback on their presentation skills from audience members.

This event was extremely popular and we endeavour to provide a similar experience at Fertility 2024, in Edinburgh. Thank you to all our Early Career members who took part and made this such a successful event!

Early Careers’ Coaching Webinar Series:

Coaching is an empowering process which can assist you to achieve your personal and professional goals. It can help you deal with issues and challenges before they become major problems and is a great way to develop your skills and abilities at a pace and direction that you choose.

The first EC coaching webinar was held on 23rd September 2022 and was followed by a subsequent webinar expanding on the topic further on Monday 20 March 2023.

 Early Career Workshop:

This event took place on the 7th January 2020 in Edinburgh. The main focus of the event was to provide knowledge and guidance for those pursuing research on: job applications, transferable skills, applying for fellowships, publishing, paper critiquing, managing people, public engagement, writing manuscripts, CV development and presenting.
