Dr Rebecca Sumner

My research spans across a broad range of projects. During my PhD I investigated the acute effects of environmental chemicals on sperm quality. In addition to this I am also interested in regional environmental impacts on sperm health, not necessarily solely from environmental chemicals. My post-doctoral work has since initiated my interest regarding female reproductive health and the molecular drivers behind development. With having such diverse interests, I am excited to see where the future takes my research and hope to continue this alongside my passion for teaching. Outside of the lab I love to either attend ballroom dance classes or jump in lakes, climb over trees and get covered in mud whilst running obstacle courses!
